If you use local mental health services or care for someone who does and you want to have a say about how mental health services will be delivered in the future then come along to Your Shout on Wednesday 7th June, 2.00pm to 4.00 pm.

Nelmht Stakeholder Event

Nelmht is preparing to become a Foundation Trust and is holding a stakeholder event to explain the ins-and-outs.

The event is taking place on Wednesday 13 June, 1pm to 4pm at the City Limits Bowling Alley (conference room) Romford, Essex, RM5 2BH. Lunch will be provided.

London Borough of Redbridge Capital Grants

The London Borough of Redbridge (LBR) received 16 applications in April 2007 requesting capital monies to fund Projects to assist people with mental health problems living in Redbridge.

LBR has awarded grants to 11 projects - totalling £110,752.33 - including a Touch Screen Computer for patients of Goodmayes Hospital and a "Metal Mickey" Camera to monitor victims of harassment. Click here to find out more.

Redbridge Drug & Alcohol Service Directory

The latest edition of the Borough's Drug and Alcohol Service Directory has been published by the Redbridge Drug & Alcohol Action Team. The Directory is a guide to local treatment services as well as national self help organisation. It also provides information on how to refer into services

Carers Drop-In Day

National Carers' Week is a week of special events and an opportunity for us to recognise, support and celebrate carers and the people they care for.

If you are looking after someone with a disability or illness then drop in to the Town Hall, Ilford on Friday 15th June between 10.30am and 4.30pm.

There will be information and advice, pampering sessions, health checks and refreshments.

Speak up for Yourself!

Free training in self advocacy is available for people experiencing mental health issues or emotional distress.

It is an opportunity to acquire a number of different skills to help you: get your voice heard; ask for what you want; get what you need; know your rights; speak assertively and effectively to people and deal with Support Services and Mental Health Professionals.

The training will be held on Tuesday evenings 6.00pm to 9.00pm on the: 19th and 26th June, 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th July at PACE, 34 Hartham Rd, Holloway, N7 9JL.

Healthy Life Style Event - Wednesday 13th June
