Description of Services: |
For Young Carers living in LBR aged 8-18 years who care for someone with a disability, mental ill health, long term illness or substance abuse. We provide individual and group support through activity programmes, after school clubs, mentoring, 16+ Group, sibling carers group and advocacy. Assessment is carried out to identify the needs of the young carers who are carrying out significant caring tasks and assuming a level of responsibility normally taken by an adult or are affected by a sibling with a disability. |

Are referrals necessary? |
Yes, via Redbridge Social Services. Children, of the age 18 or under, who fall under the Young Carers Service and carry out a significant caring role within their family can self-refer. |
