Service Description:
Redbridge Concern for Mental Health is a leading third sector organisation in the London Borough of Redbridge dedicated to promoting, improving and protecting the mental health and emotional well being of the wider community.
We offer high quality services to local residents seeking mental health support. We also provide information and signposting as well as challenging the stigma and discrimination that people experience in their everyday lives.
We run a number of services based on the clearly identified needs of people experiencing and recovering from mental health problems:
Befriending Scheme:
Offers social and emotional support to somebody who has become isolated through mental ill health.
Offers signposting and assistance to support people into volunteering activity.
Redbridge Dementia Befriending Service:
Aims to improve the quality of life of people with dementia both in the community and those in long term care settings.
A mental health user group open to mental health service users, their carers and allies. Provides support, information and signposting
