If you are looking after someone with a disability or illness then drop in to the Town Hall, Ilford on Friday 15th June between 10.30am and 4.30pm. There will be information and advice, pampering sessions, health checks and refreshments. Are you a Mindful Employer?Led and supported by employers, the Mindful Employer initiative is aimed at increasing awareness of mental health at work and providing support for businesses in recruiting and retaining staff. To find out more visit the website www.mindfulemployer.net Bonkers FestBonkersFest! is a free annual one day summer arts and music festival, illuminating and celebrating madness, creativity, individuality and eccentricity as well as combating stigma and promoting good mental health. Activities include all day live music, drama, poetry, art, comedy, drumming, a climbing wall and much more. The event is being held on Camberwell Green, Camberwell, South London SE5 on Saturday 2nd June 2007 from 12pm to 9pm. Recycling for the CommunityForest Recycling Project runs a computer re-use intitiative that collects and rebuilds unwanted computers which are then distributed back into the local community. Redbridge Green FairThe Redbridge Green Fair is a popular festival being held at Valentines Park, Ilford, Essex on Sunday 27 May 2007, 11:30am to 7:00pm. Entrance is free. The fair is organised by local volunteers and includes three music areas, over a 100 stalls including arts and crafts, traders and interactive health. Vegetarian food from around the world as well as a wild and creative children's area led by talented local community artists. Mental Capacity Act 2005: core training setThe DH, in partnership with the Welsh Assembly Government and the Social Care Institute for Excellence, is publishing five sets of training materials to support the implementation of the Mental Capacity Act 2005. The five sets, a core set, a mental health set, a residential accommodation set, a community care and primary care set and an acute hospitals set, are available in web-based versions or as hard copy publications.
