Happy Soul Film and Arts FestivalFollowing the success of the first Happy Soul Festival in July 2007, South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust is proud to be hosting an even bigger and better festival this March. The second Happy Soul Film and Arts Festival will cover a number of south London boroughs, including Wandsworth, Merton, Kingston and Richmond, and will offer screenings to appeal particularly to South Asian, African-Caribbean and Korean communities. We have an exciting line-up which includes films and music, and a number of actors and directors will be appearing in person to talk about their work. For more information visit the South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust website National audit of violence in mental health unitsThis is the second national audit of violence in mental health services conducted on behalf of the Healthcare Commission by the Royal College of Psychiatrists. There are about 30,000 in-patients in mental health units in NHS and independent organisations in England and Wales. The audit involved 211 units at 69 of those organisations and for the first time looked separately at services for working-age adults and wards for people over 65. Read and download the report here.
